White Dwarf is all Tools

This week’s issue covers the release of a new set of modelling tools by Games Workshop. The cover also promises a Hobbit Battle report. (I’m going to contain my excitement until I’ve seen it.)
There also appear to be an article on Imperial Guard and their Allies. Given the internet community are reporting the new Guard Codex has some very strong builds it will be interesting to see if this is a picture or tactically feature.

The cover below is from bell of lost souls.

Another Limited Edition Space Marine Captain from the Games Workshop Website

If you place an order for over $80/£60 on the Games Workshop website not only will you receive a limited edition Space Marine Captain with a Power Fist and Storm Bolter, you will also receive a voucher code which will enable you to order another another limited edition Space Marine Captain with a Power Fist and Plasma Pistol for $30/£18. I’m not quite as taken by this model as the first, but it’s sure to be rarer than the free one and therefore a must for every Space Marine collector. Orders must be placed by midnight on the 1st June 2014 GMT.

I can only wonder if Games Workshop will make a Limited Edition Space Marine Captain this decade that doesn’t have a Power Fist. At the rate they are going, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do. The bets are on will there be a limited edition Masters of the Chapter formation?

Am I imagining things? it looks like there are less skulls on this model than the original.

All I need to know now is what is the “all this”?

Apocalyse Battle Report here tomorrow

As mentioned last week we have been working on an apocalypse battle report. The battle was a huge amount of fun. It features a Devastator company and Warhound facing off against 5000 points of Grey Knights with a BaneBlade and Knight Errant. The ending you won’t see coming, but it might remind you of Black Adder goes forth. It’s now very near completion so check back tomorrow morning.
I can’t promise to live up to the old White Dwarf battle reports, but even with only three turns, I can promise a higher word count than this month’s issue of Warhammer Visions.
