Games Day is Officially Dead – Warhammer Fest is here.

It’s absolutely official there will be no more Games Days. This was made clear at the Warhammer 40k open day. Games Workshop Poole has also posted pictures of the new Warhammer Fest tickets on their Facebook page. The event will take place over a 2 day weekend in October including a Golden Demon competition on Sunday. Tickets are only £20 but it’s not been made clear if this covers both days or just one, however it looks like just 1. With Golden Demon included it’s expected Sunday will be more popular. The richo arena can hold up to 12,000 but I expect the ticket numbers will be similar to last year, unless we want to play sardines. At the moment this appears the UK will be the only Warhammmer Fest event taking place this year.

False Space Wolf Rumours

There are some false Space Wolf Rumours flying around the internet. Blood Claws aren’t going to be 3 points cheaper and Grey Hunters are not going to be 5 points cheaper per model. These rumours have clearly been made up in a desperate attempt to improve website views. HQs won’t be as per the 3rd edition codex of one per 750 points. Don’t believe a word of these. The rumour about 2 new plastic wolf lords that also work as special characters are on the other hand much more credible.

Ultramarine Verterans

Here we have the Games Workshop studio’s collection of Ultramarine Veterans in power armour. Of all the Ultramarine companies the 1st Company paint schema is my favourite by far. The blue and white looks just as good on Ultramarines as it does on world eaters. I almost posted a picture of Centurions today, but I couldn’t do it. It made me feel dirty. I’m so glad I didn’t.
