Pictures: Owen’s Dark Angels at Warhammer World

Spoiler alert: If you intending to go to Warhammer World in the next week look away. This Dark Angel Amy flanks one end of the Dark Angels Display at Warhammer World. It’s clear at lot of effort has gone in to this Dark Angel army. From the Watcher mounting some kind of flying lion to the Forge World Dregnought, from the MkII Land Speeder to the extensive use of winged shoulder pads. Owen has made an army any Dark Angel player would be pleased to field, not least the Thunderhawk posted yesterday.

Today’s Picture: Dark Angel Thunderhawk

If you haven’t had a chance to see the Dark Angels display at Warhammer World, time is running out. There is a lot of art work, the studios models and two cabinets filled with Dark Angels painted by Owen and Brian Anderson. I’ll be posting more from the display in the future  but if you want to see it in person you have about 7 days left.

I thought I’d start with the biggest model in the display. A Forged World Thunderhawk painted in Dark Angels colours.

News: Chaos Demons Codex available for pre order

The March White Dwarf is all about Demons. The new codex is going to take Chaos Demons back to the single Chaos God forces, in keeping with all the back ground. As it should be! This codex also marks the last of Alessio Cavatore’s work for Games workshop removed from sale.  Mantic Games have just anounced they are working with Alessio Cavatore on River Horse’s new game – Loka: The World of Fantasy Chess.  If you want to know more about the new codex, you can pick up this months White Dwarf and read all about it. Sorry no scopes here today.

I’ll leave you with the always cryptic Games Workshop prerelease video for Chaos Demons.

News: ABADDON AND LOKEN RELEASED!

It was previewed at Games Day. Almost 6 months later Simon Eagle has finished his sculpts and his master pieces have been painted

Loken is a true hero, not only did he renounce his own traitor legion to side with the Emperor, but he picked a fight with Abaddon. Armed with only a chain sword and bolt pistol. Some might call it brave, others might say stupid. You can now own this climatic piece of the Horus Heresy for £55, which can also serve as 2 separate models and some battle field scenery.

Pictures: Marneus Calgar (work in progress)

ChapterMasters.com is getting closer to having a ChapterMaster. Here of some photo’s of the Metal Calgar model I’ve been repainting. I found this model on ebay with a basic paint job and thought I could give it some love. Unfortunately I didn’t spot the missing sword so may end up selling it and buying another one.

I’ve tried some false reflections on the armour. The golds and cape are not finished.
