Rumours: Clues to the new Dark Angels Units

The new Raven wing novel, gives some clues on what new units may appear in codex Dark Angels.

Black Knights: Veterans of the Ravenwing possibly an honour guard for Sammael.  Mounted on bikes (not jet bikes sorry) equipped with plasma weapons. Lead by a Huntmaster and all armed with Raven headed Thunder Hammers.

Vengeance-pattern Land Speeder: A new class of Land Speeder armed wiht lots of plasma weapons.

Darkshrouds: Based on a normal Land Speeder. They carry a plasm powered shrouding devices in the form of a statue from the Dark Angels fortress. The field is mean to be large enough to cover a landing Thunderhawk.
Dark Talon fighters: Armed with Hurricane bolters  (no clue on appearance or transport capacity)

Nephilim fighters: Armed with Avenger bolt cannons and Blacksword missiles, (again no clue on apearance)

cswang  on Warseer 1st spotted this.

Remeber these units are now offical background so may or may not be in the codex.

Rumours: Tyranids have eaten the Sisters of Battle.

This is one of those off the wall comments that starts a rumour.

“From Slacker on Bell of lost Souls

Did anyone else notice there are no Sisters on the poster? (edit: in December’s White Dwarf) Maybe the Tyranids ate them all too …(edit:reference to the fate of the Squats)”

Well it’s irresponsible of me to spread such a conversational and unfounded rumour, so I’ll point out their absence on the poster could also mean the whole range is about to get re-released or that Games Workshop don’t want to push any completely metal armies, or that the Sisters of Battle marketing budget doesn’t cover the cost of the space. What ever the reason it’s a shame they were absent.

£200 for a single model anyone?

Just how much is too much when it comes to 40k models? £200 may seem like an awful lot of money for one painted model, but when you think about it it’s not rally that bad. How many hours does it take you to paint a Space Marine Captain? I’d normally spend about 2 days on a Captain, 3 for a special model. That’s between 14 and 21 hours, if i could charge £200 to paint one, I’d still only be earning £9 to £14 per hour. The heavy metal team are known to spend a week on a model, so at £200 that’s £5.40 per hour. You can earn more per hours working behind a bar. Heavy Metal models don’t appear on ebay very often but if you’d like to own something very special this Christmas, bidding starts at £200.

Just to be clear I’m not selling this, just advertising it, I’d be bidding if I could!
