The Eldar pics are here! June 2013 White Dwarf leaked!

It’s painful not to be able to post the pictures here, but as our sponsors have asked us not to post pictures from White Dwarf I can’t show you the leaked images.

What I can say is the the codex cover is a picture of a Farseer.

The Wraith Knight looks Awesome. A bit like a small Eldar Titan without the wings and with arms like a Wraith Lord. I can’t wait to order mine.

The Flyer is a lot like the the dark Eldar flyer.

In a surpise move GW will also be releasing an extra book  for the Iyanden Craft World, this contains extra missions art work and background.

The pictures are all over well know bloging networks.

The Time to Buy is Now

If you have every traded in Stocks and Shares then you will know the time to buy is when prices are low. Well GW prices are never low but with June 1st around the corner they are sure to be higher next month. No one has has released details on which prices are going up but it’s likely to be the products that didn’t last year.

If you want to know what went up last year he is the list.

http://chaptermasters.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/some-are-rises-into-effect-on-31st-of.html

The most obvious things missing from this list are walkers and Space Marine specials squads.

The price hike is normally regional so what goes up in the UK may not go up in Aus or the US. Aus didn’t have any prices rised last year. I wonder if they can escape 2 years in a row.

GW is running out of metal – Specialist and Collectors range out of production

GW have made no secret of the of the fact they are moving all metal lines to either plastic or or the well know GW TM finecast (see the last picture below). What hasn’t been clear until this week is that GW are only remoulding popular lines. The worse selling lines are being dropped. While the 1st thing that runs through my head is no more Epic, Necomunda, Warmaster, Battlefleet Gothic, Inquistor, Morheim and Blood bowl.  This isn’t something that really concerns me. The last time I played once of these games was in the last decade. The focus of this site is 40K.  However there are clear cross over points. There are rules for Necomunda Abites (all sold out) in 40k, although  hidden in the  out of production Which hunters codex. There are also the titans and super heavies from Epic which have inspired many scratch build models.  The patten for my own rather lanky titan is based on the Forge world Epic model rather than the Forge world 40k kit.

Imperial Guard

The biggest casualty of the metal cull is probably the imperial guard player. Currently there are no less than 3 named charters as well as all the Mordian, Steel legion, Tallarn, Rouge riders, Valhallen, Gaunts Ghoasts, Last chancers and Missionary all on borrowed time. Hopefully some of these will make finecast as part of the next Guard Codex, expected next year.

Space Marines

Guard aren’t the only army that stands to loose from this. This will mean the end for Jess Godwin’s remaining late Rouge Trader space marines. Such as the Space Marine Assault Sergeants.

and the Metal Dark Angels

Chaos

I’ll be really sorry to see Cypher fall foul of this cull. Chaos will also loose 3 lords and the old Warsmith.

Orks

Orks have a surprising lack of models left in the collectors range. The iconic Geoff Rockers always bring a smile to my face. Someone should make a stompa with a stage for these guys quick.

Parting question.

What will become of the metal models that are not considered collectors models. The old Eldar Ranger, and most noticeably the Sisters of Battle? Has stockpiling of finecast Sisters of battle already begun? or will this be the end for the Sisters?  One source inside GW has stated all armies will get a new codex for 6th edition. So hope remains the nuns with guns won’t just be a memory of 5th edition.

Finally another look at the origins of finecast

Why were Belloflostsouls and Natfka’s Faeit212 taken down by GW

CMBlog.jpgOn the last day of April.  Google removed both the natfka.blogspot.co.uk blog and Belloflostsouls.net from their blog network. Google host both these sites so have ultimate responsibility for them. Games workshop issued their take down notice sighting

“unreleased ‘White Dwarf’ magazine (ISSN: 0265-8712) produced by Games
Workshop Limited and due for release on 27th April 2013.”

You can see the take down notice from Games Workshop here.

http://www.chillingeffects.org/dmca512c/notice.cgi?NoticeID=928410

Allegedly Natfka’s blog has been issued with four previous notices of copyright infringements by Games Workshop.

Natfka appears to have taken this rather well. His last posts stating.

“The screams filled the night, . There were no alarms, no warnings for what befell us. The still night had erupted in terror, and there was nothing and no one that could save us. I had been wounded in the initial strike, the burning toxins ravaging my body. As I lay there in the darkness being consumed from the inside, only the screams were able to break through my delirium. Soon my body had broken, the screams that were my own subsided. I felt warm, the cool breeze of the open air on my face. At last I had found the respite of my own death, and I deftly welcomed it”

While ChapterMasters.com doesn’t use Google to host it’s site. Our sponsor has asked up to to remove any content that could be considered copyright infringement. While we have never hosted any copyrighted material and have not posted anything that couldn’t be considered fair us of material, we do not have the resource get caught up in legal arguments and don’t want to do anything to upset our sponsors so have complied with this request.

Update: Belloflostsouls.net is back up. They haven’t explained how they managed this but did make it clear they got caught up in Google’s removal of Natfka’s blog.

Natfka appears to be enjoying the Wargamming conference he is attending this week and is still posting video’s on youtube.

The internet is full of debate about if Natfka’s blog has overstepped the bounds of fair use. There is clearly a point were reporting news become just republishing someone else’s content. Natfka was publishing pictures and videos containing Games Workshop material. He was not redistributing Games Workshop publications. Games Workshop do not have any court injunctions preventing people from publishing pictures of their works. They work is very much in the public domain. They sight Natfka had publish unreleased content, but if Natfka can prove this content came from a source who had paid for the work. Then he has not done this. I do wonder if this is what GW are aiming for, getting hold of Natfka’s source; in case they are internal. Natfka has made no secret of the fact he has a source inside GW. Or maybe GW just want to make sure we have to visit their website to see these photo’s. Who knows we might just go and buy something while we are there.

I doubt there will be a court case to resolve this, so we will probably never know what the truth was.
