Loken has posted pictures of was is reported to be a new Space Marine Flyer. Intended to be an interceptor gun ship the Fire Raptor is strongly based on the Storm Eagle. It has been equipped with an Avenger Canon and two twin linked Heavy Bolters. The current estimate is it will be available in January 2014.

For some people the limited edition miniature is a big part of the decision process in going to Games Day.
Well the wait is over and 40k players can run back into the safety of there bunkers. My prediction that we would get a Black Templer space Marine from the cover of the 4th edition box set was well off base. We have no other than a 2nd Limited edition Marco Columbo.
Obviously the Christopher Columbus of the Warhammer fantasy world. Little Marco found the lizard men, stole all their gold, upset their gods, was curse by the rulers of the lizard realm and swore to be killed on pain of their own death; and so started the unprovoked attacked of the Empire world by the lizard men. Chuck him in a pot of hot water for 3 hours so say we.
But don’t despair, there is still Forge Worlds miniature to be announced. Hopefully they will come up with another space marine to join the ranks of other limited edtions models we all have sat in boxes from previous years.
Sorry I’m clearly just sore about getting it wrong.

Games Day tickets are selling out fast. With only 4000 places if you want to attend the biggest event on the Games Workshop you need to act fast. If you havn’t decided if you want to go. Check out this video of last year, by orkwarlord2.

Another post on the soon to be extinct specialist Range today. This picture was taken at UK Gamesday 2012. A sizeable Chaos Fleet. It’s hard to believe GW are pulling the plug on Battle Fleet Gothic. Hopefully there will still be displays at Games Day for years to come.
As it turned out Games Day wasn’t just a farewell to Specialist Games, it was the end of Games Day as it had come to be know and also the starting point for GW’s sales declining.
While this Space Wolves army wasn’t one of the better painted armies on parage displays at GamesDay 2012, it still attracted a lot of attention. The land raider in the ruined building has working headlights!
