Retraction: There were rumours on Naftka that Blood Angels were on the cover of the new Warhammer 40,000 rulebook. This will came as no surprise to many given they are also rumoured to be in the box set, however this did give credibility to the rumour about the box sets contents.
Blood Angels represent my personal favourite era of 40k. Although there’s nothing much Grim and dark about bright red space marines. Blood Angels were the main Studio army when I started playing in 1991. My own efforts to start a Blood Angels force have never really got far, but they are still one of my favourite armies to see in the pages of White Dwarf. I expect we are about to see a lot of that.

Unfortunately again the rumour were false. Maybe this was the cover of the 40k box set rather than the book.

This Relevant Titan was recently sold on a well know auction site for £72. I’m really at a loss to explain any of the parts used in it’s construction. The listing only stated it was 11.5 inches or 29 cm tall. Some of the parts look like jet bike bonnets, but they clearly are not.
I really like scratch build models that don’t just try to replicate existing GW designs. That said this model has made me wonder what would be possible as a kit bash from a Wraith Knight. Once the rear fin has been made, you would need two engines to go on the shoulders and something to extend the model’s size. I’ve been reading that toothbrushes can make great legs. I don’t have time to tackle such a project at the moment, but I’d love to see someone try.

This Green Tyranids army was at the last throne of skulls event. I initially thought this was the whitedwarf editor’s Tyranid army. The brushwork used on both the skin and armour is quite exceptional. This goes to show what can be achieved if you take your time. Something that many painters struggle with. 40k radio have gone on record that the contents of Dark Vengeance will not be changing! other than the rule book. It also appear this is hinted at in white dwarf. Looks like the rumour monkeys have been at it again. I hope the sites that originated these rumours will think better of trusting the same sources next time. ChapterMasters included.
