Rumour: Tyranid Codex Next Year, Space Wolves update in April?

Some rumours about Nids surfaced this week. As you know I don’t like posting rumours, but as this is contradicting the rumour previously published on ChapterMasters that Tyranids are getting a codex this year, I had to post it. This doesn’t mean Tyranids won’t get a White Dwarf update this year. The picture in the back of the March White Dwarf may indicate this could happen as early as April’s White Dwarf, although the picture could also mean Space Wolves are getting an update, a flyer perhaps to make sense of flyer rules they have in Death from the skys. It could mean something else altogether? I guess we’ll find out for sure next month.

*Deepstriking emplacements for shooting and increasing synapse ranges
*A new Spider-like Pysker Monstrous Creature
*Background being expanded with some sort of connection between the old ones and C’tan being worked on

The Storm Eagle has landed

Progress has stopped on the Ultramarine Storm Eagle. Many things have hampered it including the Space Wolves Storm Eagle I’m now also not working on, but most of all work has just been too busy for any modelling. I’ve only just realised I’ve only posted one photo of the Storm Eagle, here are a few more.

News: Demons get tougher and cheaper, but take extra wounds in combat

Demons are getting points reduction for most units. Blood letters by 1 point, Daemonettes 2 points and Plague Bearers by 3 points. However Pink Horrors are increasing by 2 points, while getting a better save. The feel no pain saves has also changes to a 5+ invulnerable save, which selected units can upgrade to a 2+ save. Demons player who have been enjoying not taking extra wounds for loosing close combat with their fearless units in 6th Ed are in for a disappointment. If Demons loose a close combat and take 25% casualties they have to take a Demonic instability test, with a modifier based on how many models have died. A fail results in further models being removed.
