Rumour: Tyranid Codex Next Year, Space Wolves update in April?

Tyranid 084Some rumours about Nids surfaced this week. As you know I don’t like posting rumours, but as this is contradicting the rumour  previously published on ChapterMasters that Tyranids are getting a codex this year, I had to post it. This doesn’t mean Tyranids won’t get a White Dwarf update this year. The picture in the back of the March White Dwarf may indicate this could happen as early as April’s White Dwarf, although the picture could also mean Space Wolves are getting an update, a flyer perhaps to make sense of  flyer rules they have in Death from the skys. It could mean something else altogether? I guess we’ll find out for sure next month.

 from the Faeit 212 inbox
*Tyranids are coming. Probably after Orks sometime next year.
*Carnifexes are getting a big boost
*Deepstriking emplacements for shooting and increasing synapse ranges
*A new Spider-like Pysker Monstrous Creature
*Background being expanded with some sort of connection between the old ones and C’tan being worked on

40k Rumours: Deamons are out next month, followed by flyers, Tau, an expansion, Eldar. Then later Tyranids, Orks, Space Marines and Black Templars

Rather than tell you….

Deamons are out next month, flyers the month after that and that Black Templars are getter a big rehash some time in the future.

Matt Ward is working on Tyranids and Orks, Phil Kelly is working on Space Marines, Templars and Eldar, Robin Crudace is working on the Tau and then quote some sources.

I got “Tau are getting a new codex in the early next year someone I know who works in the head office got this from the manager of a GW store. ”

Ok so the last bit isn’t perfect but it was looking pretty good till then.

In summary if it didn’t get a codex in the last three month it’s being worked on by one of the guys in the studio and Jes Godwin has some shinny new models in mind, on his sketch pad or already in box’s in Australia. Yes were are you Eldar Everguard?

And now we can get back to painting 🙂

News: New FaQs up

New FaQs are up.

Techmarines didn’t fair well.

Q: Can a model with the ability to repair Hull Points or
Immobilised/Weapon Destroyed results from the Vehicle Damage
Table use this ability on Zooming Flyers? (p80)
A: No.

Q: Can models from an Allied Detachment that have the ability to
repair Hull Points or Immobilised/Weapon Destroyed results from
the Vehicle Damage Table use this ability on Allied vehicles? (p112)
A: No.

Tyranids only got one change

Page 54 – Mycetic Spore, Transport Spore.
Change the second paragraph to read “A Mycetic Spore can
carry a single unit of up to 20 infantry models or a single
monstrous creature within its armoured shell. Once a Mycetic
Spore has landed, all creatures within must immediately deploy
– place the unit such that every model is wholly within 6″ of the
Mycetic Spore. If any models cannot be deployed because of
impassable terrain or enemy models within 1″, those models
are destroyed. A unit that Deep Strikes via a Mycetic Spore
cannot move or assault in the same turn it arrives but may
shoot or run.

As did Eldar

Q: The Farseer Psychic Powers rules state that they do not require the
Eldar Psyker to have line of sight to the target. Does this mean that they
can be used by an Eldar psyker embarked on a Transport? (p28)
A: No.
