Forge World Pre release – Crashed Thunder Hawk and MKIV Destroyer Squad

“Blake Spencer has painstakingly designed the internal mechanics of this mighty gunship after inflicting terrible impact damage upon its hull.”

At £90 I’m tempted to buy myself a Thunder Hawk, all be it a crashed one.

Will Hayes has designed the Legion MkIV Destroyer Squad; units within the Legiones Astartes that are equipped with, and expert in the use of, otherwise proscribed and forbidden weaponry”

GW increase the minimum order size for free shipping.

GW have increased the minimum order size for free shipping to £20. Orders under £20 will incur a standard shipping charge of £3. No longer will a Terminator Chaplain be shipped for free and that pot of paint won’t push you order over the £10 free shipping limit. Better order a brush and some glue too! Perhaps this is another deliberate strategy to get people back in to the stores.

Titans are coming to a PC (or Mac) near you.

Reaver TitanZattiaka have anoiced they will be releasing a 3D isolmetrix  game (aka command and conquer type 3d). They have also announced the game will be free to play and feature single and multi player aspects. I guess we’ll be paying for upgrading to Turbo Laser Distructors.

The CEO of Zattiake has been quoted as saying

“We are delighted to be working with Games Workshop on such a prestigious and important gaming franchise. Warhammer 40,000 is one of the most globally recognisable science fantasy genres, appealing to a broad cross section of gamers.”

New Forge World Release – Outrider bikes, Special Weapons and Necron Tombs

I said I was going to be more positive this year, but I can’t swallow the lump of conviction in my throat. When I got an email from Forge World informing me the outrider bikes had been released I got a shiver of anticipation.  How had they styled these Heresy bikes, like the old rough trader bike? Either the Mk1 (below) the very rare MKII version (further down). It would have been great to see Forge World styled versions of  these back on the table top.

Or maybe they would take inspiration from some of the old art work?

But Forge World appear to have taken a very different design path. Which make me think of a few other scyfi bikes. Judge Dread perhaps?

but the bike that really springs to mind is called Street Hawk.

Redeeming themselves from this 80’s throw back. They have also releases space marine special/support weapon.

Meta guns for £1.21 each! That’s Games Workshop prices.

And at the other end of the price spectrum. A 4×4 Necron tomb, complete with 4 Monoliths can be yours for only £495.00 inc postage and packaging!
