As promised a picture of the out of production space marine assault squad I’ve been working on. Through shear desperation to get them game able I’ve gone for a very dark blue. They are getting a single stage highlight. They deserve far more but there are to many models to paint to go to town on them. I’ll try to get a better photo in daylight tomorrow.
This post is a warning. There is a review of the September White Dwarf on the internet. It containes pitures of the new space marine kits, a power armour guide (which uses the armour through the ages models) and a blow by blow pictures of the Black Templar vs Chaos Marines battle report. However if you don’t want to know the outcome of the battle report don’t read the artical. Not only is there a picture of the outcome page from white dwarft, there is alos a reference to the result in the concluesion of the review.

Is that a plastic mk viii space marine?
The forth space marine on the picture has a helmet design I don’t recall ever seeing before. I may just be having a bad day though.

The Space Marine codex is the biggest Codex yet at 178 pages. The author is Robin Crudice, but remember the author writes the background not the rules. It’s going to push the envelope on price a little, costing $58 estimate £38 the same as Calgar and his honour guard.
Along side the Space Marine codex there will be a war zone supplement by Phil Kelly – Warzone: Damnos. Expect missions, back grounds and maybe a few formations and extra rules. Estimated to cost the same as Death from the skys £20 . No word if this is a limited print like Crusade of fire.
On the model front the tactical squad is getting a new 10 man box set and is only going to the same as a bike squad.

I don’t understand why the Sternguard are listed as more than the Vangaurd, don’t be surprised if this is a miss print and it actually the other way around.
