Space Wolves at Golden Demon 2014

There was a lack of Grey Hunters and Other packs in Golden Demon, but no shortage of Space Wolf characters and Dreadnoughts. I guess this is very much in keeping with the new Space Wolf models Games Workshop have released this year.

Starting of the Heros of fendis is none other that the Great wolf himself. However this entry depicts Logan Grimnar is his time as a lowly Wolf Lord and not Champion of Fendress. This impressive entry also depicts converted Space Wolf Terminator Heros. I like to think these represent a younger Ulrik in Terminator armour and a heavy converted younger N’jal Storm Caller.

There was only one Space Wolf in the Single Miniature Category this year. So who ever painted this model can claim to have the best Space Wolf in category by default:)

I have of course forgotten the three Amigos 😉

The Sisters of Battle will have their Day

Sisters of Battle Day

Calls of the Saint will rise again echo through the Sisters of Battle community on a fairly regular bases, and we hear rumours of new plastic kits having design problems and then rumours of production starting but release being possibly more than 2 years away. Well the Sisters of Battle community are taking matters into their own hands. They have declared there will be a Sisters of Battle day.

” I think someone should make petition to save SOB (Sisters of Battle) or make a date where everyone you could get, goes out and buys a sisters model. I think it would be a sad day if they went the way of the squats.” – Kieran – Sisters of Battle collector.

The only problem is they can’t decide what day this should be.

“What is a good Sisters day? Like May the forth is for star wars.” Jon – Sisters of Battle community moderator.

A couple of ideas so far are 1st August and the 1st September “Adepta Sororitas August or Sisters of Battle September” (Sororitas September).

Chaptermasters.com wants to get behind this idea. The question is how, other than helping spread the word. So we have decided to host a poll on what Day should be Sisters of Battle Day. If more ideas are submitted we will add them to the poll.

Even thought there were less people at Golden Demon this year there were no less people crowding around the cabinets. All the open entires were good and deserve to be shown. Golden Demon 2014 – Space Marine Squads

Today is a sad day at Chaptermasters as we start on the last few remaining pictures from Golden Demon. Today’s are the Space Marines from the Squad Category. The good news is the Squad Category was one of the most popular categories so there are plenty more pictures to go.

First up we have a Black Chapter of Space Marines I can’t remember the name of, Black Consoles? Suggestions welcome. One thing is certain this is a Vanguard Veteran squad armed with power swords, lighting claws and the Sergeant carries a relic blade and storm shield.

Legion of the Damed
Classic sculpts from the masterful Julien Diaz. Probably the best Space Marine sculptor Games Workshop have ever employed. Please come back Julien, please come back.

Dark Angel Tactical Squad
The looks like the Work of Half God Studios’ El Wood. This Dark Angle Tactical Squad is lead by a classic Jez Godwin Metal Dark Angel Sergeant in Mkviii power armour.
